If you're looking for specifically snow tires, bridgestone blizzacks are very popular up here.

blizzaks are the best winter tire made, trust me, I know, I live in a lot of it. Also, x-ice tires are pretty good

You mean Michelin X-Ice winter tires :???:

I would recommend a set of 15" steel wheels. There are more tire choices and they are less expensive in the smaller size.
I have a set of WinterMaster snows. $45 each from Tirerack. They not the best but they are a lot better than all-seasons. I drive 80 miles each day on dry or plowed roads.

I bought the Hankook W300 Ice Bear tires
They handle great. Better than anything I've ever driven with in Rains, Sleet, Dry, or Snow.

I was gonna go X-Ice or Blizzack, but they are sooooooooo expensive.

If you want the best bang for your buck all season tires...
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes.jsp?make=Avon&model=Tech+M550+A%2FS
avon m550 a/s, 80 bucks a tire and almost an 8 in snow traction!
if you want a strict winter tire...
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes.jsp?make=Dunlop&model=Winter+Sport+M3
a little more expensive (109) but a 9 snow rating!
Tire rack is great!

Sweet, I was wondering how the actually performed. According to tire rack they are a lot better in the snow than my G-Force KDWS and 20 bucks less... so I think they will be my next tire if that is truely the case.
