Hi everyone,
We had the head gaskets replaced on our 02 SE1 a couple of weeks ago and now seem to have a couple of new problems.
1. Our MPG has dropped a ton, a trip that used to take a 1/4 tank of gas now takes a 1/2 tank.

2. When accelerating at full throttle the transmission seems to take forever to go into the next gear (slips), but when driven normally it seems ok.

The car seems to run fine and starts up quick even in below zero wheather. We are taking it back to the shop next week for them to look at but I was wondering if there is anything I should look for in the meantime (miss adjusted cables, etc).

Thanks in advance for any help given.

Ours is like that too after we got all the gaskets replaced, it hogs gas now like no other and takes FOREVER to shift, espeically downshift

In both cases if the transmission was fine before the work then.
Most likely they goofed up on a cable adjustment.
