i bought a pair of these headlamps with black housings off ebay made by dynasty auto.. anyways they are the sweetest looking headlights except for one thing.. i put them in with my sylvania silverstar bulbs and the whole nine yards, they were looking really good right? well after having the finished headlamps turned on for about 10 mins, they started smoking inside the housings. they completely smoked out and left a white residue inside the clear lens. now i tried rinsing them out with water and dried them but it was still there. if anyone can help me get rid of this haze inside of the headlights without taking them apart, or if you could possibly know why they did this please let me know. thanks

you probibly burned/melted a coating or the housing itself. ive heard of that happening but never thought it was possible.

thats crazy i have the saMe heads and they work awesome, sorry to hear about that dude, it sounds like the shield around the headlight bulb itself burned, it looks like it was just painted black to me but i'm using sylvania's on mine and nothing happened like that, also, you didn't touch the bulb itself with your fingers or skin - thats a no no
