emergency cable question

recently, actually yesterday i had my emergency brake cable snap to my passenger rear wheel. the driver wheel still holds, and the brakes are fine. i was wondering if anyone has replaced this system before, i mean the emergency brake cables, and how difficult it is to do? thank you very much

I have that same problem on my driverside...the cable looks like it was just sliced off right before it goes into the drum assembly
