Well right now I have my stock mirrors painted to match my car and recently have gotten the urge to have my M3 mirrors painted to match and the LED bar for the turn signal molded. I could prolly do the molding and prep work myself and have the guy that painted my kit paint the mirrors. So Im going to stick the M3's back on and get used to the look of them again and try and get ahold of the guy since I haven't talk to him in a while and see how much he would charge, hell only charged me 350 bucks for the whole kit to be just painted(did all the body work myself) and it turned out great so I wouldn't expect anything less from him.

I am doing the same with my M3 mirros ;)
However I am going to have glow that amber color to match my turn signals. I wish I can have blue turn signals :(

LOL, i just pulled mine back of for the winter. Im changing all of the LEDs in them to one color, and then doing some more work to get them to fit perfectly. I've got some crazy ideas going at the moment:-D

now I remember why I took these things off! Damn plate that the mirror is on,the little tabs behind it,all are broke and now I can't keep the plate onto the assembly....Eh,guess thats what I get for buying them off Ebay for 35 bucks......Buy me some from a more rebutable(sp?) place online, unless someone has a good idea on something I could use that will hold it on and not fall off while Im going down the road?

maybe you could mold it on. or try to mold the M3 mirror to the plate on the GA mirror

can you make a plate or bracket or something that mounts to the car and to the other side of the mirror?

Ryan, what i did was drill holes through the plate, and put screws on from the outside of the car, so that they ran in the same way the stock ones do, this way you can line up the holes with thepattern on the door, and just put nuts on in the same fashon as the stock ones.
If this doesnt make sense, let me know, or IM me on AIM.. same screenname as here, and Ill take a pic for ya.

I was thinking that earlier today, kind of like studs. I was going to screw in some thick screws, cut the tops off and use nuts to put them on,might look for actual studs though

car looks pretty smooth without mirrors right now, lol. I took them off and realized I have no deep 10mm sockets here at home! So now I have to drive to work tomorrow with no side mirrors,oh well, don't need 'em:lol:
