my gt has dual exhaust and since I bought it I've noticed something wrong with the passenger side exhaust pipe. It hangs lower than it's supposed to. Any idea on what could have caused this and if it can easily be fixed? I'll post pics tomorrow when it's daylight.

did you crawl under the car to look what might be causing it, broken hanger, or something along those lines might be the cause.

That's how my ga was when I got it in Feb. I saw that the driver side hanger that bolts to the body was broken. The tailpipe tounge was fine. I unbolted one from my old 90 before I let it go and put it on. Problem solved.

I see many 99+ GT's with the passenger side pipes hanging lower then the driver side. Unless you're talking about more then 4 inches or so...?

There's a rubber mount on both sides of the muffler. The drivers side also has the exhaust pipe which helps support it. Try replacing the one on the passenger side (or both). Maybe you could swap them.
You can see them in the SLP section, photos 9 & 10.

Thanks guys for your interest in helping me. I've seen lots of GA's that don't have my problem so I know it's not supposed to hang like this. It could be that my muffler is a little crooked which causes the attached exhaust pipe to come out a little crooked. Look at the pics, is this a factory muffler/exhaust? Nothing looks broken, just not straight. The arm that holds the right side up looks like it's fine. :???2:
It's not that big of a hang as you can see but it is noticable by me and that is enough to drive me nuts.

just zip tie the rubber part tight. with my flowmaster it was heavier than stock and streched the rubber a little so put a zip tie on the 2 metal pieces and aid the hanger

that one hanger that has been pointed out looksl ike it might be part of the problem seeing how on little fraction of an inch is nice and shiny and the rest isnt... other then that, not sure what to say.

You might be able to bend that hanger to get the tip up a little.

Thanks guys. I'm going to try bending the hanger and maybe that will straigten things up a bit. Makes sense.
