View Full Version : My Jeep...Lift 2" + All Terrain Tires and 20s, or JUST 20s?

Well Christmas is here and I have no idea what to get, so I was thinking of anything... I can get a lift kit for x-mas if I want... It's 2"... This lift will be purely for aesthetics because the only off-roading I do are little mud puddles :gay: Thanks for the opinions :P
OR
I could get black 20s with a chrome lip... no chrome, black ONLY... and then maybe later when eibach releases their lowering kit, slap that on?
Here is a Jeep with 20's, tires and the lift I am talking about

the gold one looks retarded. No lift, but don't lower it either... just do the 20's. The black with the chrome lip looks hot.

good choice on the black with 20's and polished lip.
I think tire selection will play a huge roll in your finished product, to low of a profile, it will look horrid, to much tread (like the tan one you posted) and it makes it look to beefy and takes away from the rims. That black one you posted looks clean, but yours will probably look even better due to your front windows being tinted as well.

I can't for the life of me understand why someone would buy a 4X4 SUV and put street performance tires on it. Chrome wheels...OK. But Jeeps are for oversized tires. I understand wanting to change those Wrangler SRA's. They are terrible on wet pavement. It's a Jeep! Not a pimp wagon!
Jeff
BTW I own a 02 Jeep Liberty 4X4 w/oversized tires.

So a libery isnt a 'real' jeep, eh? (I dont claim to know anything about jeeps, except that they are nothing but gloried-out SUVs now, not like they used to be) Even so, he is entitled to his opinion as much as you are, even though your jeep is pretty weak IMO. Even my grandmother's 2-door Ford Explorer Sport has 4wd!! Although thats the only redeeming quality of that POS.

1) I live in SC
2) It doesn't snow here
3) I don't have to drive over rocks to get to A to B
4) There are no hills
5) We can't drive our cars on the local beaches
6) Never have mudslides
7) .... I think you get the point
There is NO need for 4x4... Let me stress, there is no need for a 4x4 Jeep here.
And don't put words in my mouth. I never said the Liberty wasn't a real Jeep. ;)
Also? My Jeep is weak? Once again you are clueless!
Jeep going downhill? Please don't get me started. You obviously know nothing about Jeep or its heritage. So please hold back your uneducated comments, Thanks!

Yes, jeep is plunging. I used to respect the vehicles, and those great circle headlights. Now they are just another SUV among the sea of mediocre SUVs. The 3.7L v6 is super underpowered for its displacement, it reminds me a bit of the 3100SFI, just without the design flaws, unless your LIM leaks as well...
Atleast it has a decent front suspension, but a beam rear suspension, give me a break! Oh well, enjoy your 22mpg from a v6 :(
