As everyone knows about the problems with my car from other posts, but here is the low down that even has dealers stummped. ok.... I start the car up in the morning, It idles a little rough but good. If i just start it and put it in gear to go and press the gas it hesitates and stumbles for a bit and then runs kinda normal. As i'm driving to work and the car is warmed up, say at a light turning left, i;ll press the gas easy and start to go when the car will hesitate and go but it feels like it's not getting enough gas, but like the press of a button the rpm's go up and the car takes off like it's supposed to. Now when i press the gas and it does this thing i'm holding the gas pedal in one spot. The wet spot under the pressure regulator was engine cleaner not gas, so that took care of that part. According to all the techs, every thing is working right, the car passed emmisions. My check engine light has come on twice in the last two days with the po171 code telling me system is running too lean, but if everything is good then they don't know what there doing. So my question to all of you is.. can anyone tell me or give me ideas to fix this cause i can't afford a new car????? P.S. Also when the car is running odd it seems like the fuel gauge is falling or is lower then when i started it up and when it does it's flip and runs good the fuel gauge goes back up to where it was???? Please help me?????

May be an oxygen or temp. sensor.

They have both been replaced already. Almost everything has been replaced already, that's one of my problems. There should be no reason why it's not running right.

I went back to the place that did the diag. and they mentioned that if the inside of the engine has a lot of carbon built up can cause a rough idle and if the valves are covered the it can cause a lean fuel type running by the injector spraying the gas and it going on a carbon caked valve..05 parts of gas ends up being .03 parts of gas there fore giving my a lean mixture.???? Does it sound right or are they feeding me a line of sh**? i just had the surgery...i can't eat no more.

Here's a new one...on my way home at an intersection the car was running a little rough so i put it in neutral. As the light turned green, i put it back in drive and hit the gas...HOLY SH**!!! The car smoked the tires through the intersection and just flew like it used to. With all the problems i've been having with this car it does this and now i'm completely baffled??? why is it doing this to me?

Now the car it running good, but when you start up the car it idles ok and runs ok but when it's put in gear, it bogs like it's not getting enough gas or too much, but it only does it for a little while and then goes ok. Any thoughts???
