Brake upgrade concerning ABS.

I'm wanting to upgrade my rear drum brakes to disk, maybe with some used GT parts from a junk yard. Mainly I was just wondering if there is any programming that needs to be done to the computer to change the way the ABS performs. Also, will the ABS perform as it should if I were to upgrade to slotted rotors in the front without reprogramming? I don't really know how the ABS works specifically. I tried searching but couldn't find what I was looking for. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The ABS system is pretty unsofisticated (like my spelling!) it uses a an ABS tone ring that measures wheel speed. You should be just fine.

But on that note make sure to keep the overall diameter of the tire and wheel the same as stock.
