Porter Cable Polisher, NEED HELP!

Ok, after having someone detail my black 02 GAGT wtih a dual action polisher today, I've decided I am going to invest in one. I couldn't believe the results on my black car.... I've heard on here that the Porter Cable polisher is my best bet.. I have NEVER used one of these or a buffer before.. Can someone give me a link to the best place to buy this porter cable polisher and tell me exactly what kind of pads I need to take wax/polish on and off. Also, what is the BEST wax to work with when using an orbital buffer... What gives the best results? If someone could please respond, that would be awesome!

Also, with this porter cable polisher, am I going to run the risk of burning my paint? I have a black car, so I am really nervous about attempting this for the first time... Also, these polishers wont put swirl marks into the paint, right?

I looked at the three models they offer. They are all variable speed, so you have a little wiggle room. But (!!) polishing/buffing is not a foolproof process. You can burn your paint job if you overbuff.

I'd start bby getting a book on automotive painting. To practice, you might want to pick up some sheet metal from the hardware store, and paint it with auto paint, then use it as a practice pad.

At least, if you mess up, it's not on your car, and you can always sand it down and try it again.
