Hi there!

I have recently changed the Harmonic Balancer and Censor on my 93 Grandam 3.3L
Since the change the car cranks but refuses to start.. I have tried disconnecting the negative battery terminal to reset the engines computer and still nothing.
I have done alot of researching and am 100% postitive I have the right parts.

If anyone out there has a clue to what may be going on, PLEASE get back to me...I need all the help I can get!

Thanks a Bunch! Lusty

You need three things. Spark, fuel and air.

There should be plenty of air.

Get some starting fluid, squirt it in the intake.
If it fires, you have spark and it's a fuel problem.

You could pull a plug and try to watch for a spark when someone else turns the key but the starting fluid is easy. Just don't use too much.

Hi Jim!

So, in your opinion do you think my starting problem has nothing to do with the installation of the new balancer and censor?
The car never had a problem before changing the parts this is why I'm confused!

Thanks for the tip on checking for spark, I was not sure on how to do that!

I'm thinking the harmonic balancer only goes on one way. That shouldn't have caused a starting problem.

What sensor did you replace? Was it something that is associated with the spark?

It was the ECM censor... The one for my car goes on a straight pin and fastens with two bolts and is not adjustable.

Hope that helps!
