How do I hook up a tack to my 95 Grand Am SE? Don't know the brand but its got a black, red, white and a green wire.

One is power, one is ground, one is lights and one is signal to the gauge. I don't have a clue about which is which.
Red might be power and black might be ground.

White is the Dimmer that you attach to your gauge.
Green is signal. It comes off a wire to the ECU (P11?)
I HAD a 2 5/8".... then some smartass mexi stole it.
But anyways, same wiring. I'd say use the red to a fuse (they make a terminal you can attach it to) and ground.... well that's a brainless one

Just buy a new guage cluster with a tach in it. Mine cost $90 from a wrecker and it works great, except the oil pressure guage on the cluster. You'll need a sensor for it. You will also need to go to your local MTO or whatever regulatory body you have and let them know your odometer is different.

the white is for the light and the green goes to the distributer, there is a green one out of that you splice them together.
