View Full Version : Service Vehicle soon light

Pretty much I was leaving school to go home and as i go to start my car my friend sees that the E break is set and decides to remove it as im starting my car. The moment I drive two feet the light comes on. I was reading in the manual and it says that any problems with the DRLs will set that light on. Problem is I can't rule that out because my chime won't beep anymore thanks to the great folks at circuit city.

I really don't want to pay to have the computer scanned. I haven't done any mods to the car engine and i havn't been driving it hard. I just wanna know what yoiu guys think the solution is.

You don't have to pay...go to AutoZone and they scan for free :)

And what did the people at CC do to it?

All right looks like im goin to autozone.


The dudes at CC apparently dodn't hook up the wiring harness correctly, and now the cime won't work.

autozone only checks service engine soon not service vehicle soon.

dont laugh but when i had my 2001 GA the SES light came on when the gas cap wasnt on tight.

check that too.
it has to be reset if you have your oil changed too.
that light comes on when you are due for an oil change on the 2000 models and newer

Checked the lights they work fine.

Changed the oil a month ago, and i reset the change oil light last week.

I am afraid it is the gas cap, but i think that only happens when it is service engine soon light.

Also anyone know how much an o2 sensor costs for a 2001 GA SE? because mines been broken for almost a year. :(

like 20. bucks at autozone.

maybe thats setting off your light then? idk?
