I was wondering if it would be possible to put a Grand Priz GTP Engine into my 2001 Grand Am SE. If so, how much do you think it would cost. I know it would require some custom work, but do you think it would work & how fast do you think it would make the car? I have the 4 cyl. in the car right now...
This would take A LOT of work, too much infact. Personally I'd just buy a Grand Prix GTP and call it a day. They can be made wicked fast with just an intake, exhaust, and pullies. My buddy ran around 13.9 with just those mods.
I :agree: That would be WAY to much work. You would have to not only change to engine but the tranny,ECU and Everything else that goes on the 3.8. Way too much money

STEPHENS_GA did it to his 99 se. Took him about 8K when all said and done. but yes it can be done.

Agreed. It can be done, but is very expensive and a royal pain in the arse.

I bet the engine would perform better in a Ga (lighter and whatnot) though. The grand prix is more of a boat than a sporty little car.
