is 5x4.5 the same thing because universal 5 lug rims come in 2 patterns on the same rim and they are 5x100 and 5x4.5 so i figured that 5x4.5 would be the same thing seeing that they fit on the car

In millimeter terms, 5x4.5 works out to 5x114.3. That's what my wheels are on my '00. There's been lots of discussion on this. Some people say you have to buy hubcentric rings to get them to work, some people say no matter what they won't fit or drive right, and some say you can just bolt 'em on and they'll be fine. I personally just bolt mine on (other than spacers in the back cuz they're too wide and hit the strut) and have no issues.
