***Connecticut Show and Shine dates Announced***

Mark your calendars, June 2, 3, and 4th of 2006 will be Club ECM New England's 3rd Annual CT Show and Shine. for the past 2 years we have been getting together in Milford, Ct a little before the GAOC Albany show to get to know one another before making the long trip to Albany. There will be awards handed out in different categories for both Grand AM's and NON-grand ams. thus meaning that if you dont own a grand am and would still like to show off your ride, your more than welcome to join us for the weekend. Show will be on saturday between 1:00 and 3:00 pm with awards between 2:30 and 3:00 pm

Again the dates are June 2, 3, and 4th in milford, CT. we hold the Show and shine at "Silver Sands State Park" in Milford, CT.

Seeing that we are less than a month away from the CT Show, I decided to write up a brief "whats happening" for the show. For the most part, ECM members will be staying at the HOJO's in Milford. for those who are not staying and only coming for the show on saturday, here is whats going on.

Please meet up with other members between 1-1:30pm . we will be leaving the hotel together as a group to drive down the road a couple miles to the park. we plan to be at the park for 2pm. everyone will get situated and get their cars all set up for others to view. between 2:30 and 3 we will be judging each others cars and once everyone has voted we will tally votes and hand out awards according to your votes. thats right, the trophies are decided by you. from their we will head back to the hotel and for those who wish to stay may otherwise you can head home.

I have been talking with some members and have deicded to include an evening trip to Mohegan Sun Casino after dinner.

I figured this would be a great expeience for he group to get together and have some relaxation time. after the casino we head back to the hotel for the typical club evening "you all know what that means."

this has nothing to do with you leanne, though ive been noticing a particular strand of occurances with the grand am club. one posts months in advance for a gathering so that people could have enough time to make plans, yet it always seems that people can never get the time off, or forgot about it, i know joe would agree with me. things do come up and they are excusable, though outside of albany, i dont think our selction will entirely meet up at any show. i keep getting people telling me, "I wish I knew earlier." ITS POSTED ON THE SITE....geeesh.....

well I do hope that you can make it, if not please do not worry, you wont be the only one. you have other things in life.. "little john" that are more important than any car or car show around. Do hope to see you there.

As my friend tims license plate stated "NVRDONE" Its not what the car has, it is how it looks. you make due with what you have. no one should ever judge you for trying.

car shows around my area start may 27 and what i want to do to the car and what are going to get done are two different things but its ok cause i guess you never really stop doing something to you car theres always something new or better

These are the awards for this year. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, best audio, best engine, and best interior. there are awards for both grand ams and non grand ams, though the "best" categories go for both. hope this will get some more guys to come. its a popular vote contest when it comes to the awards. its you who judges....

yes as katie stated, the show is RAIN OR SHINE.... weather forcast down here is saying for rain in the morning and then clearing and cloudy in the afternoon. even if it rains we will either go down to the mall under neath the parking garage or, we will simply walk around in the rain....unless its an utter downpoor. if you decide not to come that is perfectly fine, people have things they need to do and I for one can not stop anyone from doing them. yes the weather is going to be unfortunate, and the possibilty of people not coming as well. though like ive said before, its not a competition of whos cars best, we are just here to have a good time....I do hope to see people here, if not hopefully see ya in albany.....
