i feel wierd asking but has anyone ever done a rear disc conversion on a sunfire my friend wants to do it to his and the kit costs about 2 grand and hes spending money on his body kit and other exterior parts so i was wondering if any body has done the conversion off of junk yard parts or any thing

Ive no idea, but a better palce to ask would be jbody.org .. simply because the sunfire is a Jbody. That and the Cavi guys should know anyways. The other option would be to ask some of the guys over on quad4forums.com alot of those guys have j-bodies, and may have an answer.

A sunfire can be fitted with rear discs from a certain dodge neon SPORT edition from the mid to late 90's. This conversion has been completed by many jbod owners, as most are too poor to afford the outrageously priced kits from baer and mantapart.
All the parts from a neon rear wheel hub assembly (except for the hub itsself)
All the lines, and components should work, and the ebrake cables also work to make the ebrakes sfunctional with the rear discs. The problem lies in that you need to redrill a couple holes here and there, the complete write up should be able to be found on either j-body.org or azjbo.org
