questions on installing civic cai.

I just got a civic cai to install in my ga. I was wondering if anyone has put a cai on their car and still have their car under waranty. I know that some people have done mods to their cars and then take them off (if possible) before getting work done on their car. I plan to take my car in for my 30,000 mile check up, then plan on installing the intake. I so far have just needed to take the car in for oil changes and tire rotations. Any tips would help out alot.

You're fine.. If you want to know about warranty work and what you would be responsible for, read up on the magnuson-moss act, also some good info at www.sema.org.

In short, if anything on your car broke, they would have to prove that your aftermarket modification caused the failure. Example, if you add aftermarket exhaust, and your air conditioning compressor falls off, they can't refuse warranty work for that..
