Hello,

I've got a rumbling sound on my front passenger side and I'm not positive what it is. I had it on the lift with my mechanic once, and he tried to point it out to me, but I didn't see what he was talking about. Anyhow, from what I gather, the problem is a loop that's not on where it's supposed to be. Like it slipped off, but is still looped around the rod that holds it, just not on a bushing or something? anyhow, basically it still works, but it's not tight around a bushing or something so the loop bounces up and down on the post.

That was awefully confusing.

Anyhow, I am not sure what to think, is it tie rod? ball joint? in any case, where can I find replacement parts so I can price some of this fixup?

(not sure which forum to be in, but since I think it's narrowed down to these parts, i'm more interested in where to find them. but thoughts and opinions are good too)

if your mechanic knows what it is, why not have him fix it?

I dunno, I talked to him about this like 9 months ago so.......he may have forgotten. Plus, I feel like trying to get the parts cheaper first, and also seeing if it's something I can fix myself first, you know what I mean? If not, then bring him the parts and pay him for labor.

^lol sorry, I know it's tough to say. Actually dad and I took my front wheel off and couldn't figure out what the problem was visually anyhow, so I don't know for sure either!

I don't know what an A-Frame is off hand, but if it's a bushing problem, then I wouldn't put it past

the bushing that went bad on my car was where the control arm connected to the a frame. it actually cause my wheel to wobble badly.
