i was driving home from my girl's house on friday and and i didn't notice it right away but there was this damn dead skunk in the middle of the road and i drove over it. i didn't hit it or anything but damn did it stink. anyhow i went out to my car the next morning and got in and it stank like hell. so i opened the windows and let it air out for awhile. that didn't work so i went out and got some air freshners and that didn't work either. then i tried that febreze stuff and that worked a little but i can still smell it a little. i washed my car like 3 times. any ideas of how to get rid of the smell?

Run over a bed of flowers?? J/K.
Perhaps a cleaner/deodorizer with citrus chemicals in it?

Ozum (sp) it's a air freshner. I sprayed it in a old fridge we got from a friend, his wife had left food in it and it sat in the barn.
I gave it about 5 squarts and came back .5 hour later. You could open the door and breath deep.
A friend at work left part of a Elk, he had got from his dad in the back of his truck (4 door). He tried every thing, I told him about the Ozum. He tried it, took like 3 times to clear it out. but 150 pounds of rotting meat for 2 weeks before it's found REAKS.....

Okay, I have to ask...
How do you lose 150 POUNDS of elk meat?
And isn't it "Reeks?"
Anyhow.. One thing that I've found that works for the exterior is flushing out the wheel wells with a pressure washer... Lots of clean water=good.
That, and I've also found that for interior stuff, I'd go wih good old baking soda for a day or two, and then a thorough vacuum.

Wash the underside of the car too (water and baking soda). For the inside wash the carpets with the same.
