On the V6 Z24 board there is a guy running a remote mount turbo setup in a 1989 Cavalier with the 3400 swapped into it. There are a few guys out there with older cavaliers, with 3400 swaps and running boost...but this guy was the fastest.
He ran a 12.59 at 114.77mph
Anyways....he has the boost set at 6psi around town and he has a piston failure while trying to accelerate around town.
Apparently, (According to the other experts on that board and pros that this guy had look at the destruction) It's an issue with the Piston Skirt. It was in no way related to Detonation or any problem with the tuning.
Here's the Link:
Weak link in the 3400 (http://www.v6z24.com/jbodyforum/viewtopic.php?t=77033&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0)
There are pictures in the 1st and 2nd pages. I suggest reading the whole thread. It's a good read.
