On the V6 Z24 board there is a guy running a remote mount turbo setup in a 1989 Cavalier with the 3400 swapped into it. There are a few guys out there with older cavaliers, with 3400 swaps and running boost...but this guy was the fastest.

He ran a 12.59 at 114.77mph

Anyways....he has the boost set at 6psi around town and he has a piston failure while trying to accelerate around town.

Apparently, (According to the other experts on that board and pros that this guy had look at the destruction) It's an issue with the Piston Skirt. It was in no way related to Detonation or any problem with the tuning.

Piston Skirt collapsed. Apparently a common problem with the 3400 is an issue with the Piston Skirts.

i heard about this kid on another site...i heard that it was the fastest 1/4 mile time for a 3400 motor...does anyone know if that is true?...that is the fastest time i have seen for a 3400

...and Xonelith is the fastest 3400 N/A time.
