99 SE Keyless???

Just wondering how to tell if my GA has or HAD keyless. the only reason i think it might is because when i hit my power locks and the dinger goes off a few seconds later the headlights and taillights flash and the horn beeps. if anyone has any ideas on finding out that would be awesome thanks. by the way 2.4 with power locks

My 2000 does the same thing so it may not have one. Mine did not come with factory remote. There is a module for the factory remote but I have no idea where it would be located. I put an aftermarket remote start on mine that included an alarm and trunk/door opener. So you do have choices.

I think all GA's 99-05 with power locks have that function installed at the factory.

I think the RPO code AU0 is for the keyless entry, you can find this on the back of spare tire cover in the trunk. If no code then most likely no keyless.

just go aftermarket if you want keyless but I would advise you to buy a unit with 2 relays already installed so you don't have that hassle duting install. Search here in Audio, Video & Security or use the information from www.the12volt.com

If you have manual mirrors and windows, you do not have the keyless feature.

Keyless entry was not offered on the basic SE model.

I have been having a similar problem with my 2000 Grand Am I bought it and replaced the engine that was by the way a 4 cylinder and on occasion the hazard lights will flash and the horn will beep for a second like the alarm is being armed but i have no key fob for it and it will not go into programming mode and I still am trying to find out if it has remote keyless entry.
