Is this a good product?

All it does is bypass the coolant heating line (entry/exit loop) to the TB; if you live where there is winter it isn't that advisable since your TB could theoretically freeze causing you obvious problems. However people have still done it and never had a problem.

GM even sells a bypass kit themselves, IIRC. The theory behind it is you remove any heat from the TB and therefore you get colder air into the engine. However, it's arguable whether that provides much if any real reduction in intake air temperature.

Do it if you want but don't expect to gain anything from it...

also you don't need any kit. It's just a hose.

could just get a tb spacer.... kind of sounds like a similar idea to me...

throttle body spacers just spin the air to make a vortex they dont change the coolant lines i believe, same idea as the tornado, i have a friend with an f150 that has a tb spacer, i thought they were crap but he praises it so, might wanna do some research on them.

I thought it looked like garden hose. So good your bad idea? Also where could I get a TB spacer?

pfyc.com should have a tb spacer, the theory behind them is to give more time for air and fuel to mix and cool the intake charge but in an engine like the one in our GA's you probably wont gain anything much. they work a lot better on carbed cars because then the spacer is after the air and fuel mixing. as for the tornado, dont waste your money the last thing you want is turbulence in your intake, those products are just marketing even if you look on the box it says avg gain of 1-2mpg, you could get that by just dropping your speed by 5mph. Popular mechanics did a test on all these so called mph increasers, not a single one improved mileage or power, one slightly did but you lost power, one even started a fire, so putting magnets on your fuel line isnt going to help, neither is sticking a shiny piece of metal in your intake.

Thanks. What about the bypass? Can you make one? I'm not spending money on another thing that doesn't work. Esspecially if I can make it. GARDENHOSE! That all it is.

If you're ever going to remove your TB to clean it out/fix a gasket leak, it's much easier to just buy a foot or so of 3/8" (IIRC) fuel hose and a couple clamps and make your own TB bypass. It's much easier than trying to reuse/cut and put on new little hoses back on the TB IMO. You won't get any gains at all really, but it just make's things much easier.

i have a tb spacer. im not praising it, but for anyone that says it doesnt make a difference, i beg to differ. Ill give you its not a huge or very significant difference at all, it is very minimal, but it is different.

before and after dyno?

im sorry, but the butt-dyno is proven to be unreliable....even if did somehow give you 5 extra hp, no one would be able to notice much of a difference, if any, at all.

My CAI will be here on monday. I also have a mesh kit and green leds come soon.

i never said anything about making power. i said she was different after it. she revs differently. and you dont need a dyno to tell that.

You can also make it rev higher by taking the senor wire off the TB. I did it accidently. Made the car idle at about 20.

You think I like it when I left it in drive and start to step and it try to take off? Made it shift hard to. Like from PtoD. I put it right back on.
