Apparently there are aftermarket hub/bearing assemblies available for the '99+. The bearings are expensive though, since it's a sealed bearing and includes the wheel speed sensor for the ABS.
Try pricing around to different GM parts departments and to aftermarket parts stores.

The more posts I see.....and the more I drive my car...I'm realizing how poorly manufactured it is. I mean, come on...wheel bearings at 50K miles.....gimme a break! GM used to make some rock solid cars. What happened????

The dealer replaced a bearing on my car when i purchased it. And that was at 32,000 miles! Stuff like that happens...its just normal where and tear. I'm just glad I didn't have to pay for it.

My wheel speed sensor went a few weeks ago...the whole unit had to be replaced! Thank goodness it was under warranty...the dealer said it would have been roughly $500 CDN otherwise!
