View Full Version : Side Mirror

The other night when I left for lunch from work the parking lot was full of carts that weren't returned to the cart returns. Not noticing there was a cart next to my car on the passenger side I backed up and hit my side mirror on the cart which busted the screws right in half.

I've tried using two automotive sealants which wouldn't hold the mirror up. Thought about using duck tape but didn't want the paint to come off of my car.

Anyways the mirror still works and is hanging down from the wires. I really hate the fact of buying a new mirror and paying labor.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Katie

Take the mirror off (three screws under the inside panel). Build up the holes where the screws go with epoxy. Drill out the holes and reinstall.

Plan B - go to ebay, the for sale section of this board or www.rockauto.com and get a replacement.

Thought you could get those double post mirrors to fit your car or did you just end up with them?

Thank you for all of the good tips. I'll have to try the epoxy. Thank you for the rockauto.com site as well.
