Nice ride man! It looks like a 2 door? Options/price?
I also have a 2 dr black SE with the V6. If your up for cruising in the summer, there is some guys that meet at Advance Electronics.

its a 4 door you can tell by the pic with the back speakers, you can see the back driverside door there.

Ya it sounded great with the stock HU, but sounds better with my new HU. Too hook up the sub I bought a device that has 2 wires that i connected to the terminals on each 6x9. Then the wires go into a little box and converts it to rca cables. The rca cables plug into the amp. I used a switch to control the power to the amp. Worked great!! I'm not sure of what the name of the device is, I bought it at radio shack, let me look around and see if I can find one.

im confused, what do you need a 150 dollar wire horness for? you only need like a 30 dollar kit to wire an amp and like a 6 dollar connector thing for a new head unit, what am i missing?

It's a newer GA, my friend also had to spend 150 on the harnus, and he had to relocate his stock deck to the trunk.

He also ran his subs off the stock head unit for 6 months I bet he might have the conectors needed to do it.

Oh and welcome fellow (winterpeger)

did you have to run a wire to the HU or what? or just from the 6x9's then the amp and sub?

mrjoecanadian

just from the speaker wire you pick what speaker wire. I'd recomend use a speaker wire directly behind the stock HU expecially if you plan on adding a after market hu in the future.

did you find out about that part?

mrjoecanadian,

i took the speaker wire out of my speakers and put hooked the bronze speaker wire to it and my sub worked.without an amp or anything. so if i hook up speaker wire to the hu and back the to trunk itl work? where do i hook the speaker wire into the back of the hu?

the wires are sloppy because im not sure how to pop the plastic up on the floor to run it underthe carpet.
