Wow, the guy on the sound bite didn't even know what he's talking about yet he wants to ban it!?! Since the dawn of the automobile people have wanted to go faster. This silly attempt to outlaw nitrous will not stop it. How morronic. There's better ways to waste your tax dollars than that.:roll2:

You guys too huh? Its been illegal here in NY for a little while now. Personally, I think it should be illegal, for the sole reason that alot of the people who are predispositioned to put it in their street car, are young enoung yet to not have much experience behind the wheel, thereby not having as much control over their vehicle if anything does go wrong during their race.

OK, should we outlaw turbo's & superchargers now?

Um, last I checked it was already illegal to have a connected N2O bottle in PA. Old bill perhaps?

Regardless...
1. Kids doing dumb shit on streets will still get killed, nitrous or not.
2. Even with nitrous, some of these cars are still slower than some sports cars. I'd rather see some kid with a bottle in his base model Civic on the street, than the same kid behind the wheel of a used V8 stang or F-bod.

I kinda see you're point...it's cheap and dumbasses can easily install it.

lots-o-power + retards = bad things

However, like JoeyK said, should be outlaw everything that creates more power? If some idiot wants to go slap a 150 shot of N20, a turbo, or supercharger on their car, let them...if they kill theirself of another person, just remember its not the horsepowers fault...it's the idiots fault.

I thought nitrous was already illegal.
I'm not really a fan of it so I don't care either way.

Yes thats true, but Id rather not be the one who gets creamed because some punk kid who cant handle what he has hits me:( Itd be rough on everyone but the best way to probably maintain it better would be to have different liscensing classes based on rated HP and age/experience.

However, even then people would be complaining about the system:(

I do agree on the fact that it seems it is most popular with younger drivers but I look at this just as I do gun violence. Just because someone handles it irresponsibly, it's not the gun's fault & should not be taken from society as a whole. maybe you should have to show id & have an age limit to buy nitrous? I think that would be a good idea. Set the limit at 20 or 21. But I don't think it's right to just ban it all together.
