hidden subwoofer

hey....ive been working on installing a sub and amp in my car recently and i cant find a place to hide the sub. i thought maybe i could hide it underneath the spare tire in that compartment but i dont no if i have enough room. its a 12" sony explode.im not sure of the depth of it but its big enough. i no it wont be hard to hide my amp. i no a few places where i can put it (thinking maybe mounted on the side in front of the taillight.....if thats possible) . n e ways i dont really want to be cutting holes in my car and stuff so if anyone has a hidden subwoofer in there trunk please tell me how ya did it. thanks

you can always use the spare tire well and rise the floor an inch or so

use 1/4 in plywood and just cut the size of the speaker where its going to be in the plywood and then just carpet the floor

or you can make a box in the trunk that goes up tight to the back of the back seat with the sub facing the back seat and build a false wall

that way you can still have the spare tire in the car

well i think i might have enough room underneath the spare tire to put both. theres a braket that hold the bolt thing that keeps the tire in place and i think i might be able to fit the thing in there. it would be pointing up and covered by the sparetire as well as the other stuff in there but it wold still work. im gonna work on finding how much room i have tonight.ill let you no how it goes and try to get some good pics possibly.

the factory amp, if you have one, prob wont give you the power your looking for.

yea... got it from the junkyard.... when ever i get new tires, its going to get one of my 2 that are on there now that are in better condition and arent an only direction tire!
