I'm pretty sure thats the starter. Can you see the leak from the top of the motor? Check were the lower intake manifold meets the heads and block...I'll put money on it, that that's were it's coming from. Most likly it's the LIM gasket. Well know problem with these engines :(

damn....I wish I had money on it :(

Ya, it can get expensive, but remember, it's a great time to do some engin mods while you're in there :) I put in my P&P manifolds when I got mine done. You shouldn't be paying more than $700-$800 for the job...did you get any quotes on it yet???

Also, if you know what you're doing, you could do it yourself and save a boat load of money :)

Good luck anyways

Well if you take it in tomorrow, you probably won't have it back by friday :( You might, but doubtful. Depending on how bad the leak is, you might be able to get away with driving it. Is the coolant mixing with the oil or visa versa ? If not and if the leak is slow you might be able to do it....but it's your call. Better safe then sorry :)

I didn't read everything, but if you got a coolant leak, and you dont wanna get it fixed right now...... Just go and get some irontight, or cadillac pills and drop her in... it should Mask the problem for 4-6 months....
and before anyone says no you can, Yes I did...lol..
I've done it... Depends on how fast or bad its leaking, but mine was leaking Fast... and since the weather is gonna start to warm up it should last at least 4 months, I did mine before the winter and it lasted about 4 months in the cold weather before I got a week to rebuild it, and give myself a P&P etc....

in the end its just gonna give you time to put some good money aside, and either have someone do it, or do it yourself, and maybe even get a good mod or two....P&P, roller rockers...
goodluck

im actually working on a walkthrough on the LIM gasket leak. I should have it done within the next couple of days (given I have enough time to finish it). If you do it yourself and assuming you have at least some mechanical knowledge it should only cost you around $300

DONT use stop leak, EVER that shit is bad bad bad, it will clog up your cooling system, my friend had an LIM failure on his 3100 GP and the flushed out the coolant, and found tons of black gooey stop leak shit the people he bought it from stuck in it so they could sell it. this was days after he bought it too. Had to spend an extra couple hundred dollars to have his entire cooling system flushed, dont use that garbage, fix it the right way

Yeah you can do it yourself cheap, but you can also bend a valve
poke a hole in a piston, and basicly ruin the engine. Of if you don't install the coolant properly then your pulling heads next.
If wrenching isn't your thing, better pay someone to do it. Hopefully they don't goof it up.
