Ported and Polished 3400 TB on 3100?

Hey,i was wondering if it would be worth it get a 3400 throttle body and port and polish it and put it on my 3100.Anyone done this with decent gains? Trav

port out the intake manifold to match the TB ( the TB is 4mm bigger than the UIM, so you'll have a 'step' causing turbulence otherwise ) - i wouldn't bother porting the TB itself. it's probably good for 1-2hp and slightly faster throttle response. IMO worth it. not really much to be gained, but an used 3400 TB is pretty cheap ( like $25 ) and however slight, it is an upgrade with relatively easy install. use new gaskets.
