I have it on my 97 2.4 .... Unless your just wanting some sound,I don't recomend it for performance. I can tell its robbing some power since its chambered. I didn't catch whether or not you have a 4cyl or the v6 but if you have a 4cyl don't get it. Go with some Straight through Magnaflow's
EDIT: Ok you have the v6. Should sound good and be ok for performance. I just know any chambered muffler on a 4cyl isn't going to help with performance, not allowing the exhaust to flow well/breathe well

yea, won't see any change in mpg by just changing to a different muffler. Even just changing the exhaust system you will see little change. You start using headers then you might see a change. But changing piping and a muffler, prolly won't see a change. Atleast I didn't. I DO need a new cat though, did the ol temprature test on it and the inlet temp was good but the outlet temp wasn't much higher, which means its not working.

Not with a Flowmaster, but with SLP and other muffler brands. The tranverse-mount Flowmaster looks a tad larger... it may be quite visable below the fascia on a 92-98.

Oh that's right, Bob put his up front closer to the suspension. It's that rear spot behind the fascia that makes it hang rather low.

Thatll be the next thing I do is get the transverse muffler. No more of that big muffler/tiny muffler crap. Dual mufflers on a 4cyl is pure retardation.

well unless its the straight through design. Im going with 2 of MagnaFlow's Stainless Steel Street series mufflers. Only because My FlowMaster isn't helping my performance(4cyl guy here) and want to keep the "dual" look since I have a body kit. Unless theres a straight through transverse muffler out there somewhere then I might get that. Im not really all about the sound, still more on the performance side. I already have the "show" and I want to actually be performance as well.

If this (http://community.livejournal.com/ut_austin/1358472.html) is reason enough to get a Flowmaster I don't know what is.
I'm just happy that I'm getting one installed Thursday.

You no I never got that big muffler tiny muffler thing. Why do people do it? Someone once told me a big muffler wont fit on the passenger side. I myself have 2 full size mufflers, one on each side obviously.
