Well I'm hoping to get a decent paying summer job and might be getting a new car. At first I was thinking I would get rid of the GA and get another car, maybe a newer GA GT or a GP GTP or something similar. But then I started thinking about getting a car just for the summer and keep the GA for the winter, since it does pretty well. I started thinking about Firebirds or Camaros and then I stumbled onto he Nissan 300ZX, this sucker really caught my eye. I'm really leaning towards it now. It's not something you see all the time like a Camaro or Firebird. I would prefer a 32z (90-96) Twin Turbo.

I was just wondering if anyone has ever driven/riden in one and what they thought about it.

The 300Z is a nice car but there is a reason that you generally see them in lots for just a few grand. They are very expensive to maintain and parts would be difficult to acquire. If you could buy a parts car and are a handy fella you might be okay. If you were to ge a Camaro or something similar It'd be a lot easier on the old pocket book.

^ :agree: 100%

My uncle had a 93 TT (the z32 2+2) and now he has a 96 TT (again the z32, but its a 2-seater), he loves those damn cars so much since they are a BLAST to drive. He even admits the thing kills his wallet, and its a bit hard to work on even with the right tools. But if you are damn handy with air tools, and have access to a lift, and a damn good junkyard or parts supplier, then the car woudl suit you perfectly

Well I thought it over and I'm not going to get it, even if I get the new job. I need to start paying for college so I don't have a ton of debt built up and another problem would be storing the cars when not in use, I would have to rent a space out b/c I wouldn't want the leave the Z out in the snow. Getting the car would cause more problems than I need right now. So I'm just gonna stick with the GA through college and then see what happens after I get out.

Your making the right move I think. Just keep up the maintenance on your current car and you'll be fine. If you really do need a new ride, try and find a lease (maybe a colbalt or such) while your in college.

Wait 'til your done school to get yourself a toy.

Agreed. I'm not sure about your finacial situation, but trying to go to school, and pay for a car, could end up being more than you can handle.
Wait till school is over to buy a new car. Just my two cents.

I work for Nissan.

Dont buy a 300ZX unless you can afford to fix it. You will put 2-3 times more into it then what you bought it for.
