would something similar to this fit in my tail lights? and if so are they just plug and go type deals? because I need to get some red tail lights for my cleared lights, autozone doesn't have red bulbs that fit my car and advance autoparts quit carrying them here.

I could swear that you can buy replacement lenses alone since those round trailer tails are rather common.
When building round lenses into clear tails, most 92-95 owners use a piece of PVC pipe for the housing with the lens on top.

Aka... white light comes out the bottom... not something desired inside the tail light housing.

There's about 20 auctions and another 30 "Buy It Nows" on ebay.
Do you want trailer housings in your tails?

no no, just using them as an example. Are they 3357's or 3157's I need? and does local shops have them?

Do you know where I can find some red Taillights? I want to avoid LED's but I may have to go with them. But I can only find APC LED's and I've read in one of the other places that they burn out quickly...and I don't want to spend 7 bucks each time, and I want to avoid changing my flasher.

You know what? Nevermind I'll go with APC LED's for now. Can someone tell me or point to me where a thread is that shows and explains to where the flasher is? I figured the APC LED's can last me until I can order better LED's ( I need them by the weekend, buying my gaskets tomorrow if I get the money for my T-bird or not. )

NO!!! APC = garbage. They will not last you until you get something better. I killed all four in under a week. Same with the second set. The third set someone apparently returned already, had bulb grease remnants and they were burned out right from the box.

I never found any good solution to maintaining red bulbs/LEDs for any longer than 1.5 months in my clear tails, so I reverted back to stock GT tails (which I found I like better anyway). My personal test results:
red bulbs - lasted 1 month before fade
red bulb 'covers' - lasted 1.5 months before fade
APC LEDs - a couple days until a few individuals went out, then some started flickering erraticly until the rest burnt out

Does anyone know of any long lasting red bulbs? My advance auto parts and autozone only carry APC LED's. =(

I walked next door to autozone to my school during lunch and found $9.99 LED bulbs. They were called hyperbulb brand or something, I'm not sure.

You have an SE... ONLY the GT tails can be cleared like he has his. they made the two models with very different tail light housings. Find some GT tails somewhere if you want to do this mod.:)
Edit.. I didn't realise you had a 96-98.. sorry. this won't work for your car at all :(
