I have 2 hood dents on my GAGT 04. Some moron decided the run across my car and left them there. I am getting a price of 500 dollars to take care of this. To me that sounds very high but i am not sure. Any help would be appreciated on how much this should really cost or if this is a good price.

Thanks

is a body shop taking them out for that price? Usually you can find a professional dent removal place that can do them for much cheaper than that...It still might be a couple hundred but it should be more than half of the current quote. As long as they don't have a crease I think they can be removed rather easily...I would call around for another price.

lol or stop by.. Some are simple enough they are done for free. Hehe I hit one with a baseball that ended up being $200. But for $500 you could just buy a new hood! I've seen those do it yourself dent removers, has anyone had luck with those? For $20 or so I'd say it would be worth a shot

before u go to a body shop if the dents do not have a crease in them then a paintless dent removal person should be able to message them out for like 50 -75 bucks, one of those guys went around my whole car for 60 bucks got everything out even the big ass crush dents the ******* thieves left tryin to pry my trunk open on the corners of my quarter panels. these people are very handy at what they do trust me. the last thing u want to do is think about gettin 1 panel repainted that could open a whole new thing like it not matching, i know that was piss me off. good luck

I used a toilet plunger to get the big dent out of my hood after a deer hit. It took most of it out but the paint is cracked a little.

I used the repair money ($600) to buy a used SD hood and now use the "deer" hood in the winter.

Heres what you do. Get some dry ice and put it on the dent. After its nice and cool remove the ice and heat the same area up with a heat gun. When metal is cold it contracts and when its heated up it expands and will pop the dent right out. I've seen this work on cars caught in hal storms before so you should have no problem. Oh don't touch the ice with your hands cause it'll burn. It MUST be dry ice. Regular ice cubes doesn't work. You can thank me later.:P
