Alright, I know I'll probably be hated on, and I don't know if someone mentioned this before. Okay I have the 94 GAGT 3100 V6 with the single pipe two muffler set up.
But what if I cut off the piping after the resonator, and welded it for one of the mufflers for the newer GAGT's, and then made two pipes that went into my GT's cut outs with new tips, would this be logically able to work? or is it asking too much?

lol sry the Waterboy was on tonight. I don't see why it wouldn't work. Can't understand the reason why you would want to go from 2 mufflers to one, and also put on another stock muffler. But whatever floats your boat!

Well I don't plan on it. lol, I'm just curious. I'm sticking with my more-money-out-of-the-pocket-two-muffler set up.

Look for a inexpensive crossflow muffler from a 3rd or 4th generation V6 Camaro. Maybe try Raven or Dynomax, and then have a muffler shop do a custom install on it for you if you can't cut and join pipe yourself.

I was going to say the same thing John did, the best idea is to get a transverse style muffler (the ones for camaro's work especially well) and have a shop weld it up for you, the 2 muffler set up makes me angry as well, why not just have one muffler, sometimes I dont understand GM/Pontiac

If the muffler is small (think Cherry bomb Turbo II) or dual outlet, a y pipe with one end hacked short may work.
gave up on strights huh?

What I meant on straight piping, I was just going to straight pipe over the cat and resonator, not actual straight tail pipes, I like my dual outlet exhaust tips.
