did some searching through the forums in regards to getting a port & polish.

There isnt much pertaining to the 3300's, so thats why I am going to ask...

I already know that port and polish will generally increase flow in the engine resulting in more horsepower... but how will that affect fuel consumption?

should I do a port and polish on my heads and intake manifold? or just the heads?

has anybody else had this done, and is it worth the work / effort?

is there anything else I should be aware of while doing this?

right now im just in the pondering stage... not completely serious about this, just curious... so any information would be greatly appreciated!

I still have the intake manifold and heads off my old engine, so I can get those port & polished and then just swap them in and replace all the gaskets in about a day :D

I thought about doing this also. I'm not really concerned about gas mileage, since it's a fair weather car. :D I think if you get that done, the exhaust manifolds could use some porting too. But, like you, would like to know if this increases HP enough to cover the price.

If you're a leadfoot you'll see a slight decrease in fuel economy. The more air that gets into an engine the more fuel has to go in with it to keep a good air/fuel ratio. Generally, porting everything is the best option if you want all out power.

I'm not familiar with the 90*V6's though so I'm not sure what the intake manifolds are like and whether they need much in the way of porting.
