I don't know because I have decided I am going to be going with a Dynomax Ultra Flo with 2.25" pipe.

I got the flomaster 40 series and it sounds, really, really good. That's what I would do.

I have a V6 but considered putting flowmaster on it but I researched them and found that they did not decrease the backpressure that much while the dynomax super turbo or ultra flo decreased backpressure a lot. So I'm going with super turbos. Just my 2 cents.

That's what gets me too, how the flows aren't as free flowing, but I love the way they sound on the V-6. I'm going with the 40 series, but I'm wondering if I should do 2.25 or 2.5 piping since I want to compensate for the power loss, but don't want to lose low-end torque. I am also wondering how long they last. btw if you go under the 50 series at the flowmaster site they have a PtCruiser listed so checkout that clip cause the flows on the 4-cyl GA will sound similar to that.

If you are looking to free up some air the ultra flo would probably be your best choice between the two dynomax's. Of course since I have chosen that one I am slightly bias of course. :D

Yeah but the ultra-flo's are too expensive for me so the super turbo it is plus I know a guy who has dual super turbos on a his V6 and LOVES them.
Also digital-d you will need to get 2.25 inch because it will actually do more for your engine than a 2.5 inch cuz you need some backpressure which a 2.5 inch will not give you enough.

Thanks, that's what I was leaning towards. I just have one more question which hasn't been answered yet, How long to flowmaster's last on average? I've heard different stories concerning this.

I have the Summit Racing catalog in front of me and it says the Dynomax Ultra Flow Bullet style muffler inlet/outlet 2.5" is $31.95 in aluminized steel. And I have heard many stories of the chambers in Flows blowing out in about 2 years.

thats wierd how little differences in size matter so much in price, this one is 2.5" inlet/outlet, 4" wide, 16.5" long its the same pic and everything :idunno:

really, I belive OEM replacement mufflers usually last about 3-4 years. I'm getting two practically new 40 series flows for only $40 so I figure I'll use one, then when that goes I'll put on the other and if what your saying is true than I got 4-years there and then :???:

I don't know what kind of flowmaster exhaust I have on my GAGT. All I know is that it is a camaro exhaust that they put on my car.
