Radio Bezel..

Im sanding down and painting my trims, but my question is how the heck do I get the 12v out of the radio trim?

I got my cigarette lighter apart. There's two or three plastic tabs that have to be pressed in to get the thing to slip apart.

Most people just tape over it and trim around the metal edge.

Which tabs? mine only has 2 that sit up against the bezel, plastic ones, and then 2 metal ones on the metal part of it

i've got it to move freely in a circle, but i can't get the tabs to do anything

suggestions?

I tried and tried and tried to get mine out, and couldn't figure it out. I finally just put the cover back on before I ended up breaking it.

i guess i'll just have to tape it off and do it that way..katie said they make tools to get them out, maybe i'll find one of those

All i did was push, the metal sleeve will pop out and then the plastic ring is MUCH easier to remove, BTW i just painted about 20 pieces in the interior, lemme know if you would like me to post pics.
