I still need to take pictures of it. so far all I have is this one that I took with my cell phone. The one in the front is my friend's 2000 SE and the one in the back is mine.

The quality sucks, I'll take more with my digital camera later.

ehh its a 1.3 megapixel camera on my phone.. but thats nothing compared to the 5.1 i'll use to take more pics later. Im gonna try to get some shots of his car together with mine and my other friend's sister who has a red 99 SE. Would be some pretty cool group shots.

Sorry to hear that. Yeah, I've fouind it rather easy to speed in the GT. Even though it won't go up to 150, it's tempting to push it :(.

That's got to be a sick feeling, seeing the flashing lights behind you and knowing you are toast.

Thats hot! I love it... I wish I had a GAGT... but something is with that GASE... like those rims make it look like a family sedan... I dont know whats with it, even with the SC/T hood... oh well.

Haha, I've told my friend that, and told him those rims need to go, but his response was "I dont like seeing the brakes"

I'm trying to at least get them chromed or something to make them look shiney.

Tell him to get some nice Chrometech rims or something, or the GAGT type rims that you dont have. I forgot the name of them though. Shawn (Founder of GAOC) Has them on his GAGT. And as for the brakes.. have them painted, along with drums. Kelly (Co-founder of GAOC) has his painted, it looks nice.

Not sure how many people here really new the original poster of this topic, Tempest, but as i stopped by the forums today to ask a question, i figure i'd look through his topics a bit too and reminisce - and inform any members who did know him, that he died several months ago.

RIP buddy.
At least you had a sexy car.

Actually, he was still just 21 at the time.
For some reason, he committed suicide. Drove to the middle of nowhere and shot himself - it was his sexy car that allowed one of his friends to find the body.

I'm sure the family thanks you all for the condolences and sad faces.
(and oops for definitely throwing this post way off topic.)

Wow :(
I can only imagine what his family has and still is going through. It's sad that he didn't trust someone enough to talk to them about what was on his mind, but I'm sure he had his reasons. I take it no one saw any warning signs or at least didn't recognize them at the time?

I didn't get a chance to talk to him but I did check out his posts and Car Domain pages.
(R.I.P. Mike)

P.S. I don't have any problem with you taking this thread off topic, I'm sure there are other people that knew him that would want to know.

To answer those questions...
I suppose there were a few warning signs, he said he felt depressed and couldn't concentrate on things easily, but he was set to see a doctor about it. He had gotten in the habit of drinking a lot, but it just seemed to us like it was because he was finally legal and just having some fun, maybe he was doing it to get over some grief he had.

From my standpoint, he had a great life. Good job, obviously a nice car, a great family - nothing in his life would be depressing from what i saw, but obviously he thought differently. (For the record, he had been my best friend since kindergarten, and didn't even talk to me about anything. its a mystery for all of us.)

Damn :shake:
From the way I'm reading your words, there shouldn't have been anything that would have brought him to this. Not to put any ideas into your (or anybody else's) head, but did he have any enemies or did he piss someone off that you know of? I'm sure the police did there job and did a thorough investigation but I would question this just because of my back ground.
Sorry if this upsets you.

I can relate to him in a way, I got over depression about a year ago. It doesn't matter that you could have a loving family and everything seems to be going great. It can affect anybody, and it hurts. I knew I needed help, but if it wasn't for my friends and family (and especially my g/f, I love her to death.) and all their help, I really don't know where I'd be. And reading this, really scares me in a way, he was my age. And I almost did the same thing. A tragedy like this can just tear a family apart, I feel horrible for all involved.
