So sometime this spring I am going to buy a set of the circular-style vents for a GA newer than mine and modify my current vents to hold them in place. This should be an interesting and fun project, has anyone else done this before or have some suggestions of what to do? I've got a 95 GAGT, and the dash in pre-96 GAs is just too boring. I'm thinking I'll cut up the current vents and make the sides solid and a split in the middle to seal the circular vents in place, then just snap the old vents / new vent holders into the original hinges.

On that note, anyone have any other suggestions for making my dash look better besides painting or getting reverse glow gauges? I don't wanna change the color of any of my gauges 'cause I've got a red light color scheme goin on with leds and neons under the dash... although I might eventually change to blue if it isn't too difficult to take the dash off and swap out the gauges...

The circular vents are larger than the 92-95 vent openings.

My personal thoughts, leave it alone. Looks best stock. Or vinyl dye it darker.

if your gonna do that, might as well swap the entire dash. It will be alot easier and alot cheaper. The dash is almost a direct swap. The area for the gauges will be the only obstacle.

Yes, but for clearance and fitment, you'll likely need the door panels and center console too... which presents more challenges. (parking brake, shifter mounts, power window switches, seat belts, etc)
