Any one know of any good cold air intakes for a 2001 2.4l that cost as little as possable? or if there is a civic intake that would fit onthe 2.4l grand am?????? also waht do u think about this idea taking out the fog lights and making a intake using aluminum tubing and make the fog light hole my scoop? is that practical?

RSM Racing, ebay, AEM, there are a lot of brands out there that make intakes for the 2.4L. Try to search this topic, there plenty of info on this that has been talked about in the past. I dont think that idea would be very practical to have all the time being that you're letting water freely come in contact with the intake (bad news). Besides in 99+, the removal of the headlight would provide a more practical use (at the track), since behind the foglight is the wheelwell.

1. You get what you pay for.
2. Eliminating the stock restrictions is more important than the actual intake piping... especially that "box" that connects to the TB on the 2.4.
3. Fog light pipe = ghetto. You won't gain anything over a regular CAI in the fender.

actually the only bolt on CAI for the 2.4 right now is Induction Dynamics but its a 250 dollar CAI,not cheap for the average joe. Just buy a WAI (warm air intake) and convert it into a CAI with some custom bent piping or buy the expandable tubing. I have a AEM WAI and converted it into a CAI. Have the filter in the fender well. The tubing is plastic BUT the filter is away from the main heat.

any Pep Boys type auto parts store. Mine was like 15 bucks, eat that Mike:lol:

It comes with a couple couplers so you can clamp them to the piping of the WAI and the filter:)

It's crap.... Exhaust flex piping (usually sold at auto stores to rig up a "legit" exhaust for a POS) is more durable. Just get a 90* elbow and done

Got any pics of this conversion? I'm thinking of doing up my wife's car. I just can't let her car get faster than mine.
