Fe2 Fe3 Help!

I messed up the suspension on my car and ive been calling around to junk yards for parts but i dont know if my car is the FE2 suspension package or the FE3... its a 1999 Pontiac Grand AM SE... 2.4L.... PLEASE HELP!

did you look in the trunk? in the spare tire cover underneath there are the cars specs for several things including the suspension types you need

... I haven't heard anyone refer to the newer GAs with that designation but I would guess FE2 being "older" GMs with the FE3 numbering on it were classified as a performance or sport type suspecnesion if I recall correctly ... anyway, just a guess :)

just took a look my 2000 3.4 se has an FE2 code

Either way I thought GT's were the only ones with FE3s. Same goes for some GM's where only the "sport" model get the FE3.

I have the FE2,most of the cars at the junk yard have this type,i do mention it because i went looking for a softer ride,but i could not find the FE1 on not even one car like mine.my grand am came with the sport suspension,the variable effort power steering,16 in specific rim/tires,the stabilizer bar is i think is pretty much standard on all this grand ams a few exceptions are found on some gts
