Hi Guys bought a high mile GAGT and am getting it up and running.I put new struts and had the front end aligned and the specs are correct. It will sometimes track OK but if you take a sharp left it will pull slightly to the left. And if you go right it will track to the right.
It is not excessive but anoying and I am looking for a possible cause.First thing that comes to mind is the rack(I hope not) but has anyone had this problem and solved it?Thanks in advance for your help.

It might be just me, but I find your description a bit confusing.
AFTER you make a left turn it will pull left? and AFTER you make a right it pulls right?

The description is accurate.I had the struts and plates replaced and alignment done. The rest of the suspension has been checked and is tight.I know it does not sound right but that is what I have to work with.I suspect they did not do the struts right and am looking for something in that area.
I also have a clunk that occurs over bumps sometimes since the R&R was done.It seems to be on the drivers side and also think it may be related to the problem but can't prove it.

What shape are the front tires in. Are they rounded on the outer edges? Does the front end like to shake a little around 53 to 65 MPH? But ok before and after that seed range?
All the above point to front tire problems. Things wore to the old speaks. So putting them back to the right speaks may be causing your problems.
But my gut feels like yours, something is not correct. Take it to another shop, get a labor quote to fix what ever is wrong. Take that quote back to the people who just had it and ask them to fix the following parts. If the other shop can't find a problem...back to tires.
I think Midas does free quotes. They have a pretty good rep, so if you take a slip that says xyz needs fixed to the first place...they kind of have to listen.

Hopefully they greased the bearing plates really well. I noticed mine did what yours is doing but for a short time (like 2 weeks). I believe the grease finally worked all the way around and the mounting plate got unstuck. I think you will find it loosening up for you. But I only wish I knew why I get the clunks over small bumps. I'm gonna try Moog mounts and retorque the strut shaft nuts.

I get the same noise over bumps. From the reasearch I have been doing there is something call "strut spring side loading" that can cause this and I am leaning towards the new mounts being the problem.I called the Monroe shop that did it and they said they sometimes get bad mounts so it goes back to them tomorrow and they will check it out. Thanks for the tip on the grease I will mention it to them.
As far as the other questions tires are new and rebalanced ,rotated yesterday so I rulled them out and all other suspension parts are good.
