There have been several instances around this area lately of a bunch of punk kids dumping stuff in peoples gas tanks. I was looking for a locking gas cap just to be safe, and AutoZone tells me they dont carry one. I certainly dont put all my faith in AutoZone, so does anyone know where I can get one for my '02?

You may want to check your local hardware store. My local does.

I don't think there is a lack of a willing company to make one. I would guess that the factory design is what is preventing your success at locating one. It has that built-in spring-thing-a-ma-bob on it right? That is most likely the problem.
Try searching for a company called CST. They do gas, oil, and radiator caps for the aftermarket and OEMs.

The dealerships sell them as GM accessories.

What area are you in KLC? I'm in Deer Park, near Kenwood Mall. Hoping it's not around me or I may have to get me one of those.

My husband and I got ours at Kragen, a local auto parts store... $15 a piece I think they were. Good investment if you ask me.
