I have a 99 Grand Am SE. The bad thing is it has a 2.4L L4 in it so yeah basically no balls. Second bad thing is i dont know squat about engines. Can anyone tell me somethings i can do to give it some balls or am I basically screwed with that engine. Thanks a bunch.

There's nothing wrong with that engine. There's tons of support for the engine to give it all the punch you want. If you want you could always start with the basics like intake or exhaust. Do a search you may get much better result on things to get you going.

yeah I wouldn't say the Twin Cam is a gutless engine.....

..... there seems to be plenty of performance things for them.... dosn't seem to be much for the Quad4 (Twin Cam is almost like a updated version of the Q4)

Pawn click on the RSM Racing banner.

Yes the 2.4 doesn't offer alot of stock hp and or torque.

But the good news is that you have a good size aftermarket.

I would start with a decent exhaust, and a decent cool air intake.

Nah, do the cam swap, what is it a 94 2.3 ho intake a 92 lo exhaust, check out which ones it is, and have your cams swapped, quite a boost in performance.

I think he is looking for some easy mods which may give him some power. Intake and exhaust are definitely the easiest. Check out AEM, RSM, or Injen for intakes, and maybe a custom exhaust job from any shop that installs mufflers.
