After successfully getting the entire engine back together with 0 left over nuts or bolts, the engine is running very rough.

The only issue we had was the fuel injectors. We had 3 out of 6 that took a great deal of effort to get out of the intake manifold and also had issues getting them to slide back in place when putting the fuel rails back on.

The service engine soon light is coming on, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to drive it to the local autozone (which lucky me has one 1.5 miles away) at this point to have them hook into the computer to read the error codes.

The plugs and wires are practically brand new and they were working perctly fine before we started tearing the engine apart, so I doubt they are the issue. We checked and double checked to make sure we have them hooked up for the proper firing order.

Suggestions, comments... anyone else experience this?

Please help.

Thanks,
Mike

doh... I triple checked the firing order to make sure the plugs were all in the correct firing sequence. My brother-in-law had double checked it, but I think after he took the plenum off this morning (to double check the injectors) he got them back in wrong (4 and 6 were reversed). Needless to say, it's idling ok now.

Could possibly be an injector. How rough of a time did you have pulling them out and putting them back in? Mine were in pretty solid and were a b$tch to get back in too.
