I wanted to get a body kit but I have a dent in the drivers side bumper in the corner.. The people at this body shop said I would be better off just buying a whole new bumper but total would be just as much as a buying a full body kit.. And they're saying I need a bumper to put on a body kit? Is this true? If it is then I can just purchase the body kit and just cover up what was pulled right? Heres the kit im looking at, it's a 4door

Some body kits come with bumpers that replace your entire factory bumpers while others are meant to go over your factory bumpers. It all depends on the brand and style of the body kit.
Just from looking at the image on the Andy's page it appears that the body kit just replaces the outer skin of the bumper. But I am not completely sure. Why don't you e-mail Andy's and ask?
At the very least if your OEM bumper is very dented you might have to replace the impact absorbing material beneath the bumper skin before installing the body kit.

I didn't think about contacting them, thanks for the reply and hopefully they get back to me soon.

What equipment would I need to remove the bumper, front, and sides? And what would I need to put on a new body kit? I already got the painting down. Or would anyone know a body shop with good prices down in Fresno, California?
