Rockford Fosgate P110S4 ok or crap

i can get two 10" for $100 so I know i wont get earth moving sounds, but i just want a little bass. I will be putting them in my old MTX ported box. They are 20 years old and the sub has seen better days. But the mid and tweeter still work fine.

they will do the job. but i also said i wanted just a little bass, well i bought a alpine type s and i liked it. then i kept wanting more. testing friends subs and now i have a 800 dollar set of subwoofers. once you hear a little you keep wanting more and more :)

Sounds like they'll work for your needs RocketFast, but CandadAM is right, bass can be an addiction. Just make sure you have your expectations set where they should be. It sounds like you do though, so I'd say go for it.

if you want a little bass, but still enough that will be nice to turn up every now and then, go with a vented box or maybe even bandpass. A single 10 in a bandpass will sound great for low volume listening or even showing off and turning it up a little bit.
