Probably a dumb question but what is the screw/bolt size I should use to screw a license plate onto the license plate holder that is under the front "pontiac" plate cover after removing the cover?

The bumper cover does not come with holes in it. Get a couple of license plate screws and drill the correct sized hole.

Thanks for the info. the other thing i noticed is once you remove the pontiac plate, it plastic has those 3 top slots for where the plate attaches, so removing it leaves those holes in plain view. and with where the indentions for the holes are, makes it so when the license plate is put on the holes will still be seen. but oh well i guess..or I guess I could just drill the holes farther up enough so the license plate covers up the slots.
Going to get a license plate bracket and screws/bolts today. Then drill the holes high enough to cover the clip holes and use the bracket behind the plastic to hook the license plate to the front.

Oh I should probably mention that I'm not actually putting a real license plate on the front. I'm a Clemson Tigers fan, so I got the following tiger paw front plate. Not entirely sure how it may look when I get it on there, but we shall see...
here's a link to the plate:

with the plate where it should be at, you dont notice the clip holes because they're under the lip of the bumper area.

Well i got a bracket to use and it seemed to work pretty well. I got it put on high enough to block those clip holes. Here's a pic.
Thanks for all the posts and advice. I need to find some darker screws though. the ones i had are a little too shiny and bright.

Get a permanent marker and darken those screws up.
