Help! I cracked my 2000 grand am gt's bumper cover and I dont know if i can take it to a body shop and get it fixed or have to buy a whole new bumper cover. This is sad I hope a body shop can fix this. Its a small crack but stuff like this bothers me. Suggestions anyone?

is it a crack? I cracked my bumper fog light hole when i smoked a piece of ice last year... i just epoxy'd the sides and held it together... isnt noticeable unless you really look for it.

You can't fix it. It cost around $600 to replace and paint it.

What bothers you more, a small crack or $600 to replace it?

I went to a couple a auto body places around here and they said they can fill it in with a speical plastic fill in. (cheap) so it can be fixed and not for $600.

OK, what's the price? They wanted three bills to paint my bumper.

Actually you can fix a crack.

Our current bumper was cracked and repaired and I bet not a single person on this forum (even the body shop guys) could find it without looking at the backside of the bumper cover.

poly eurothane pieces need to be filled with a poly euro filler... something along the lines of fusor... JoeyK and I have discussed this in many threads, so give him a PM and he'll be able to help you better (unless he sees this at some point)
